A Love Note from Annie
I just called to say I love you. Romanticism, floral wines, aphrodisiacs, and my most requested recipe
Happy Love Day from semi-sunny Rome!
We caught a break this morning, just enough time for Saturday’s ritual mad dash to the market, the butcher, the baker (and today), to the guys selling roses on every corner.
Mother nature has the most fickle heart of all.
Just when you think she’s got your back (and front) glowing in sunshine with a perfect breeze…she drops a deluge on you five minutes into a 10K run, and now you’re sleeping with a scarf on and a roll of paper towels by the bed.
Or maybe that’s me.
Here’s video evidence of that fateful Tuesday. I really thought I would survive it, but nature proved me wrong.
Being sick is a good reminder of how lucky we are to have people in our lives checking in, and who still want to see us even when we aren’t at our best.
I feel lucky to have you, dear readers!
On this day and every day, knowing you are out there reading this newsletter reminds me to keep at it.
Romanticism isn’t just love and kisses.
It’s an embrace of the power of nature and the power of imagination. Embrace the senses and let your heart lead the way.
To get you in the mood, here are a few of my favorite posts on on all things, floral, rosy, red, and romantic.
Click what grabs you, or save for later.
xoxo, Annie
